Directions
Dissolve 19.0 grams of part A in 800 ml distilled water, add 4.0 g of part B in 200 ml
DW, mix Part A and B solutions, heat to dissolve the medium completely and distribute
aseptically in sterile test tubes. Sterilize in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. DO NOT
AUTOCLAVE. Excessive heating is detrimental. Discard the prepared medium if large amount
red precipitate is settled at bottom which indicate the selenite reduction, if not then allow to cool
and inoculate test sample aseptically.
